Dawson Family of Calverley and Pudsey, WRY

 

The DAWSONs were farmers in Calverley.  The DAWSONs then moved to Pudsey.  Then some of the DAWSON men and their families moved to Stockton-on-Tees, County Durham.  

 

Israel DAWSON (6Aug1850-????) was a "Boilermaker" (1871, 1881, 1891), a "Boiler Plater" (1886), a "Boiler Smith" (1901) and a "Bridge Plater" (1906) in Stockton-on-Tees.  Israel married Ann CAWOOD on 1 Jun 1873 in Leeds, West Riding Yorkshire.

His brother, Job DAWSON (8Aug1847-????), also moved his family to Stockton.  Job was a "Cloth Fuller" (1861) in Pudsey, a "Labourer in Iron Works" (1871), a "Labourer at Foundry" (1891) and a "Blacksmith's Striker (1901) in Stockton.  Job married Annie HARRISON of Liverpool, Lancashire.  They married in 1878 in Liverpool.

Another brother, Paul William DAWSON (12Nov1841-1901), also moved to Stockton but then married and moved on to Halkyn, Holywell, Flintshire, Wales.  He was an "Engine Fitter" (1881) in Stockton.  In Wales, Paul was also employed as an "Fitter" (1891) and an "Engine Fitter (1901).  Paul died there between July and September 1901.

 

 

 

Generation 3

William DAWSON (Mar1881-????) married Laura Ann SEDGEWICK on 6 Jan 1906 in the Middlesbrough Register Office, County Durham.  Their children were:
